11.08.19 - 11.10.19 - Thanksgiving Retreat and Celebration

Every year, Gracepoint, as a whole, hosts an annual event to remember what God’s been up to this past year. This year, because there was a lot of new ministries throughout the country, there were a lot of things to give thanks and continue praying for.

There were separate individual testimonies about how the individuals experienced the church’s core values: Getting Close, Reaching Out, Training Up, Connecting with God, Growing Up, Living It Out, and Giving it All.

10.12.19 - Dare2Share Live! Outreach

WHAT IS DARE2SHARE LIVE?

Dare 2 Share LIVE is a national, live, multi-site evangelism training and outreach event designed to spark a movement of Gospel conversations across the country, primarily through teenagers.

On October 12, 2019, we got to participate in this event. It was amazing getting to hear how teenagers are also taking acts of courage to preach the Gospel to friends even at the risk of standing out as someone who is different. We were encouraged by Greg Stier and other speakers who shared with us how we can take small steps of being bold and taking charge in confidently sharing our faith. That same day we going out to respective areas around the Bay Area and knocking on doors to collect cans for the homeless as well as an opportunity to share the Gospel. It was quote encouraging to see each one of us growing more comfortably and bold to share the Gospel after each house we knocked on. It might have seemed like we didn’t do much or that we failed at times but it was great knowing that teenagers all across the US were also doing the same thing. Can’t way to do this again next year and in the mean time apply what we learned to our daily conversations with friends and family members.

09.27.19 - 09.29.19 - Rethink! Conference

The past 2 weeks, element middle and high school students drove down to Orange County to attend a leadership conference to be equipped of sharing the gospel and/or the truth of Christianity to their friends and family.

The students are so grateful for the amazing speakers sharing their expertise and testimonies with them. The speakers gave profound messages about myths about God such as ‘There is no objective truth or morality’, ‘God is anti-science’, ‘God is anti-gay’, God is anti-abortion’, ‘God is not Good’, ways to engage in arguments that are against God and God’ truth, and much more.

After the conference was over, Element Irvine invited Element Alameda to the headquarters for desserts and fun! Many familiar faces were seen! Lastly, Element Alameda went to Korean BBQ on the way back to Alameda in Los Angeles. We were clueless about the truth before the conference, now we’re full of truth after the conference!

08.06.19 - Homegroups! Friday Night

The second night of homegroups has just kicked off and has been an excitement for our students. Past Friday, homegroup 9-11 & 10-12 both had their own homegroup and bible study. Homegroup 10-12 learned about Acts 3 and the “beautiful gate” through John Kwon’s message. It was a time of sharing personally and fellowship for us. Both home groups then went out to do laser tagging. It was a fun and joyous night for all of us with our respective home groups.

if you would like to join us next Friday, check our weekly newsletter for information about upcoming events (on our front page)!

08.02.19 - 08.05.19 - Summer Camp

This past weekend was an extravaganza! Every one had a blast at Alliance Redwood, playing sports with teams, eating meals together, building stronger fellowship and bonds with each other. Thank you to all the sound & lighting crew, band members, testimony givers, and other staff from other churches coming to help out this retreat!

Ultimately, thank God for all the work He has done to bring everyone the good news. Congratulations to the 2 decisions made at summer camp! Amen!
